EDUCATIONAL
ACTIVITIES

At Hutton-Loyd,
it is our hope that students in our area can benefit from the farm for education
and enjoyment. The activities that are planned for the 2002-2003 school year
will prove to be both educational and entertaining for your students. Students
are invited to the farm to begin our school year activities during one of the
most beautiful times on the farm, the peak of fall color change, for a leaf art
project entitled “Look What I Did With a Leaf,” in October. In
December children of all ages come to get into the spirit of Christmas with our
field trip “Christmas With Hutton-Loyd.” To complete the educational
activities in the spring we host “Hutton-Loyd Arbor Days” in April. We also
offer field trips that can be custom made to fit your students needs any time
during the year! We hope to see you this school year!
We are able to accommodate a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 80
students per day for both the Arbor Days and “ Look What I Did With A Leaf,”
which will be broken down into manageable groups. Christmas With Hutton-Loyd and
Custom Made Field Trips do not have required numbers for attendance. We require
a 50% non-refundable deposit for each trip. Each student should bring their own
sack lunch.
